"We were there for a wedding and chose this hotel as it was close to the church. We really didn't spend anytime at any restaurants or shops in Mt. Pleasant. The receptionist at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The common areas (elevator carpet, lobby and cafe upholstery could use some attention). There seems to be very little sound barrier. You can hear everything in the adjoining rooms and there is significant space under the room door so...

"Appears that one end of the property is being used for long term rentals. Sign out front indicated weekly rentals. Two police cars were on the property one of the two nights that we stayed. Not sure what the issue was but was a bit un-nerving. Overwhelming smell of mothballs."
