"Over all mad monkey in phuket was very nice just the outside surrounding is a bit older but we cant avoid that being its location in #phuket which is a beach locstion."

If you don't have a lot of luggage and don't mind walking, I suggest you walk from the airport. There is a 7-11 and a few restaurants around, but not much. The area is quiet, except for the planes.
