"its a low budget location if you are staying for a night. Don't expect a lot. Owners are nice and great views. We had booked for a few nights and quickly realized it was not a place to 'rest'. just a place to stop over for one night so that we could do what we had to do in Ella."
"Indran and John were so kind and helpful. They really made us feel at home. John''s cooking was delicious, the view from our balcony was spectacukar, and our room was clean and comfortable. We loved our stay at the Ella Alpine Resort."
"This is the place to stay if you come to Ella. It could not have been more perfect. You wake up to stunning views of the mountains and the most delicious homemade traditional breakfast. You can walk straight from the home to town or to hikes and popular sights.
It keeps you out of the hustle and bustle of the street so you can really enjoy your stay.
11/10, loved my stay here. If I come back to Ella, I would love to stay again!"
"The room was excellent. Had everything I needed. Only thing I would add is an additional plug socket to the room. Melani was phenomenal from the start and throughout, she went above and beyond making sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast was made fresh every morning and Melani checked what I wanted and even accommodated things like getting low fat options, which she didn’t need to do. The star of this hotel besides the staff is the view from the balcony! Looking out onto Ella was lovely,...
"A delightful stay and made memorable by the efforts of Ashen our host. He went above and beyond the call of duty in order to assist us in achieving the maximum in the minimum amount of time. From organising a cooking class to massages to organising a wonderful comfortable car and driver to get us from Ella to Kandy with a visit to nine bridges on our way. "
"Lovely view of Gregory Lake from our room however the power kept cutting off which meant lights and electricity turned off for long periods at a time. Staff were always very approachable and kind. Breakfast was to order and very tasty!"
