"The property is situated right on the bank of the river Nile and our room had a view of the river. The roof top restaurant also overlooked the Nile. The room itself was large but very basic containing only a queen size bed and 1 small bedside cabinet. There was a closet to hang clothes. The bathroom had 1 of those folding doors which was off its track. No soundproofing there, you can hear people talking at all hours and chairs being pushed back. The food there is superb. "We loved everything about this place. The owner helped with all the things we wanted to do. The room was amazing! Out of all the places we stayed on this trip. This was by far our favorite. The home cooked meals were a highlight of the trip. Tayeb and his staff made it feel like we were family. I highly recommend The Scorpion House. "

Mattar, the owner, was an excellent host and can arrange for your touring needs at very good prices. The apartment itself is clean and modern. "The place was ok for this price but the bed was so terrible we couldn’t even sleep one night. We had a soup there which was brought from another place and we waited minimum 1 hour for it, and this was the worst soup we ever had. We also didn’t have a good experience with the sisha. Honestly, I would not really recommend this place."
