"The people working there were very friendly and explained everything I wanted to know. The location was perfect, right on the coastline and near the city center, airport and Knossos bus stops, and major museums -- particularly the archeological, a MUST. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Plenty of hot water whenever needed, excellent wifi, abundant breakfast buffet including fresh fruit."

"Iro hotel felt a little abandoned as there were no reception staff, restaurant or pool bar at the hotel. All the services were next door at Sergio hotel. Restaurant in Sergio was very good and staff extremely helpful and friendly. A little more information for the guests in Hotel Iro would have been good. First night we did not know where to go for dinner. When we found it it was great, as was the greek entertainment and dancing after dinner. A very nice surprise. "

"It is a small family run hotel. The rooms are nice and tidy. Location is perfect just a few minutes from the promenade. Staff was very kind and helpful. The only bad thing I noticed was the shower head was a bit detached from the wall in the shower, but that didnt affect the use. Breakfast was continental, last day we had pancakes which was also nice. Overall very good price/value."
