"Great place to stay in Mount Fuji area. Our room was 302 with direct views to Mount Fuji. The room was huge with 3 beds an bathroom but no wardrobe. The place has amazing public baths with indoor and outdoor areas. Staff are really kind and helpful. There is a restaurant on site but didn’t try it. "The hotel was a little far from the train / bus station. It provided a free shuttle service on the morning from hotel to the train station, but only 3 or 4 times. Did not provide free shuttle service from train station to the hotel."

"This is a true"little (Japanese) hut in the mountains" with great onzen experience! You just have to embrace the whole experience. If you do, this is definitely 5 stars! If not, maybe look for a more westernized hotel instead. Just one caution, this mountain resort is up on a winding mountain road around .5-1km from bus stop "sengyoro mae". "The room we stayed in was a traditional style Japanese room where we slept on futons. They were very comfortable, and we had full views of Mt. Fuji from our room! The staff was incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed. They even tracked down the local bus for us when it was running a few minutes late and gave us tea and coffee while we waited. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for something a little quieter than the hustle of places near Lake Kawaguchi."

There are two convenience stores about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and Lake Kawaguchiko is about a 15 minute walk. "This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be in close proximity to Mt Fuji station for your travel plans. It is a basic, no frills motel-style accommodation. While somewhat dated, everything was clean, check-in was streamlined, and breakfast/coffee were provided. It is walking distance to the station which is great.
