"I had stayed at this hotel before and there are many positives. The location is excellent, both for the seafront and the city centre. As before my room was clean and comfortable. Amenities in the room were adequate and in line with my expectations for a budget hotel. However, despite the hotel fulfilling most requirements for my stay, on this occasion there were some issues that were disappointing: I had booked a room with it’s own bathroom but was allocated a room with shared facilities, there was no hot water in the afternoon when I arrived although this was available the following morning, and it was not easy to control the temperature of the water for the shower in the shared bathroom. These points resulted in a lower rating for my stay this time. Despite the issues highlighted which may be isolated, and based on my previous stay not necessarily reflective of a typical guest experience, I still feel the hotel offers good value for a short stay in Brighton and would likely still book again."
