"My father and I stayed in Araliya Cottage in the beginning and the end of our stay in Sri Lanka. We can recommend the Araliya Cottage because of the excellent service, delicious meals and the house is beautiful with a large garden. The owner spend hours telling us about Sri Lanka and took us to the beach free of charge were we had street food. "Ok - where do I start! The “rooms” where not ready when we arrived- no one was expecting us in fact, I spoke to the lovely lady who owned the place and she explained that her rooms where usually pay by the hour (ugh). We had no choice but to stay here - one of the rooms had no lock and another had no bed! This was soon rectified but not to a satisfaction we would expect. There where no televisions in the rooms, no fridges (not even a plug socket!) one room didn’t even have bedding!...
