"You need to understand what is a capsule hotel. Even though it looks a bit weird, it does exactly what it is made for. Giving you a place to sleep, dry and clean. The commodities are shared by all the customers, so you have to expect some flaws. Not because of the staff… they were always vacuuming the carpet and answering all the customers but this place bring a lot of weird persons and some don’t clean after them. I really enjoyed that place."

"Classic futons on floor for sleeping arrangements, rooms had air conditioning. Common bathrooms with plenty of showers, never had to wait. Eating area provided toast for breakfast and a dinner menu, but we were never around in evening so did not try restaurant. Very quiet area, easy walking distance to train station. "

"Once again, the staff was lovely, I can easily plug my Switch into the TV and the capsule are stuffy (but I have a fan, which makes it quite pleasant) and there's comfortable bedding. There's a lovely Family Mart just down the street and vending machines galore in the area. On the down-side, the building seems a bit run-down and the smell of smoke often drifts into the elevator. All in all, a good place to stay, when it's cheap (which seems to be 'pretty much always')."

"Location is decent, with an extra plus if you have a JR pass. Room size is fine, although not particularly notably. Furniture is underwhelming. Amenities are extremely limited. Staff service was fine, although can't comment too much on that since I didn't need anything particularly complex from them."

"It's a nice hotel with about a 5-7 minute walk from Takadanobaba Station. 7/11 about 1 minute away. Not a whole lot of dining options close, but still walkable. Check-in was a tad tricky at first, but everything was simple once it was done. Bear in mind, there are 3 good twin beds, but the room is tiny. Like, no place to put your suitcases. We crammed ours between the beds and did a lot of sideways walking in the room. If you can get a good price (hard to do around Shinjuku), then go for it. "

"This is a very no frills hotel. Very basic but they do it well. You have what you need at a budget price point. Was able to accommodate my family of 4 in 1 room, which is hard to find in Tokyo at this price. Friendly and helpful staff. On site laundry. Clean rooms. Very close to Akabane station. Would stay again. "

"Nice and quaint place, quiet location that's a 10 minute walk from Otsuka station. Rooms and shared areas are clean and are everything I could want. In the smallest room they offer, I paid $30 a night for a pretty large bed, room for my luggage, walls that aren't paper thin, and a good AC. This is all nice, but the best part is the staff, by far. On my last day, the man working the counter held my luggage after checkout for a couple hours while I went to pick something up, then helped me move...
