"Classic mountain hotel overlooking the fjord. We traveled here with our 7 year old daughter in July 2026 and were able to rent a room with a small extra room for her which was really nice. View is incredible, staff is very friendly, and the restaurant has a great dinner & breakfast. Also this hotel is the only one in the area to preserve the original structure of the old hotel. The rest are basically rebuilt and lack a lot of the charm here. Only word of caution is there is no elevator, so if...

"Wir kamen von einer Radtour im Regen sehr nass zurück. Uns wurde sofort ein sehr warmer Trockenraum für all unsere Sachen angeboten, die am nächsten Tag komplett trocken waren. Das Diner- und Frühstücksbuffet hatten eine große Auswahl und es war sehr lecker. Einzig das Bad war renovierungsbedürftig."

"Just stay here! Weve been travelling all over norway and i must say this was actually the best hotel we reserved. Beautiful original rooms, huge bath, impecable breakfast (must try their croissant and home made nutella). Oh and grab their strawberries too! The food was 10/10 we had dinner there every single night, and our server “Miko” was the best guide ever."
