"This hotel has a lot of character. I hear when people say it could benefit from some modernization, but not at the expense of making it another cookie-cut hotel. It os definitely a wonderful choice for travelers looking for experiences, rather than for tourist looking for the standard Marriott. In addition, Peter, the hotellier is quite a character, efficient, professional and nice personality. I would stay here again if I come back to Ghent."

"We travelled using public transport, train and tram made staying at this hotel very convenient as only a couple of minutes walk from tram stop. Hotel is in a great location not too far from all the attractions or tram. Room was clean and plenty of amenities, nice coffee and a fridge with drinks at a reasonable cost. Staff at reception were very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. "

"Landing lights constantly flashing = electrical fault. Light above bed missing with wires hanging down in terminal blocks not taped up. Bathroom window rusty and paint missing around window frame. Dust on top of several things in the bathroom. Convenient for station and comfy bed is all I can say that is good about the place. Just like a cheap Belgian hotel in the 80s, but it wasn’t cheap!"

"The location, building and room was amazing. We went with our 2 dogs and the hotel is based within a forest so plenty of space and walks along with a designated dog field and lake! The only slight negative is that there is no where local for breakfast due to its location but the food and beer is great in the hotel."

"Booked the hotel because reviews were good and it did not disappoint. Very comfortable beds, and very clean. Our room had a separate private bathroom and shower which concerned me initially but ended up being a cool feature. Location is good, about 6 minute walk to tourist area and bars. Hostess was helpful. Would stay here again. "
