"Beautiful little boutique hotel in the heart of the Douro Valley. You are essentially staying at a vineyard! They have a lovely pool for relaxing. The rooms are quaint and spacious, and the facility itself has a lot of character. Breakfast was scrumptious with a lot of variety. Highly recommend!
My only feedback to the hotel is to ensure staff offer the complementary wine bottle upon check-in as we had to ask a couple of times for this & received it at the end of our stay…. otherwise, no issues...
"Service impeccable. Très propre et que dire de la vue! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la sélection de vins à la réception ainsi que le service de livraison de nourriture. Je recommande fortement pour un séjour paisible dans le Douro."
"Very nice new hotel. Clean rooms, amazing infinity pool and the views to die for. The breakfast was disappointing as the quality of the food was just average and the selection very poor contrasting with the rest of the hotel."
"A truly delightful experience that far exceeded my expectations, from the service and the people to the quality of the hotel. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, and definitely somewhere I will come back to for a longer stay."
"Je vous recommande fortement ce petit hotel ultra charmant !! Comme si nous étions a la maison , accueillie de façon remarquable par Marco !! La vue est impressionnante et le dejeuner wow tout cela avec un service impeccable!"
"Casa Dona Édite was a wonderful stop on our trip. The guest house is simply wonderful with beautiful shared spaces, immaculate rooms and a simply breath taking location. Breakfast was delicious with home made items and Persimmon, grown on the property. The owners were warm and inviting, full of excellent recommendations including delicious tapas at a local cafe and a gorgeous walk through the village with their dog as a talented and attentive guide! (When you stay here you MUST walk to the trees...
"The room was clean and large with a nice deck, unfortunately a hammock took up the entire deck. Our dog was welcome at this hotel. We were under the impression there was a bar/lounge, snack bar or deli and room service. All we could find was a fridge with drinks that you wrote down what you took. There is a restaurant 450 meters down the hill, we ended up driving to the grocery store. Lovely place, but we were expecting more."
"Chambre propre et spacieuse. Balcon agréable. Le restaurant sert des plats copieux. Le sauna et le hammam n'étaient pas fonctionnels lors de notre venue. Le personnel est accueillant. Le parking est grand et facile d'accès."
"Another hidden Gem in the Douro Valley. Situated right on the river. Great resturants close by. Breakfast was wonderful and parking simple. Relaxing and peaceful."
