"Not a place to stay if you like hot or warm showers. There was hot water sometimes, but never when I wanted it. Not satisfactory for what they are charing. It was good to have a fridge in the room, and a jug for heating water, but there was no way to prepare or even heat foods; not even a microwave"

"We loved our stay here. We loved the simple Tongan style accommodation. There are only 3 fales set in beautiful tropical gardens where guests are allowed to pick their own pawpaw and coconuts. It is private, secure and quiet, set beside the best snorkelling beach in Tonga with the use of kayaks. "We went to the Royal Sunset with 6 of our Tongan young friends who help us at a humanitarian clinic we work in. We are leaving Tonga and wanted to thank them for all they do. We decided to spend the night at the Royal Sunset. The rooms were filthy. The linens were stained and the rooms were unbearably hot. The pool water was brown. "It’s on the water front, only a very short walk, quarter mile from the center of town. There is not much surrounding the area, but if you have a car, there is parking available. The owner is very accommodating and will advise and help. This is Tonga, so you should not expect commercial level of accommodations. Everything is clean and comfortable, with hot water in the shower."
