"A very short walk from the train station and you arrive at the Hotel Lombardi. First off I loved the old style cage elevator. Very nostalgic. There are 5 steps up to the entrance but after that the elevator "whisks" you to the first floor and the hotel. Check in was very easy and the room was very close to the front desk. "The hotel was OK but we booked too late and ended up paying close to $250 a night which was much too much for what we got. On the plus side the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was simple but nice with some excellent torts and cake. It was clean. The location was good - about a 15 min walk to the center. On the minus side, it's in a converted older apartment building and the entrance is 54 steps up on the third level with no elevator - not for the infirm with heart...
