"Of all the inexpensive hotels we stayed at on our travels, this one was an unexpected joy. Small but very clean room, helpful and friendly check in. We came during an extended heatwave and a brand new oscillating fan was provided (without having to ask). Like most places in France, they is no AC (why?!), and the fan was very much appreciated! No elevator (also a common experience across France) so be ready to climb stairs. Parking in the Cathedral parking garage is super close. Our room faced...

"Reception was non-existent. I waited for almost an hour and tried to contact all the given numbers listed on the front door but none of them were on WhatsApp or able to call with data. I then proceeded to go the hotel next door (Hotel Premiere Classe Rouen) to seek their assistance. Finally, got the code for the safe which kept the room cards. Based on booking, it was supposed to the smaller building, but room allocated was the building opposite. No other follow ups. I was not even given wifi...

"The room was small but adequate . The air conditioner wasn’t working , only blew hot air and as it had been 27 degrees that day it was a very hot unpleasant night . We had to sleep with window open , the road noise was awful and the a car alarm went off . We hardly slept . The light switch on the bedside light was broken so I couldn’t switch it on to read . All in all an awful night with not much sleep . With a very long drive back to the uk the next day it wasn’t ideal . Teception was closed...
