"Rooms were nice and helpful with being able to make your own meals. Younger woman at front desk comes off a little sharp and not friendly. Not a very welcoming type of person,"
"Open Hearth Lodge is a smaller charming hotel, outside the hustle and bustle of Sister Bay. We immediately noticed the firepit area, already active, and was informed there was also pit in the back of the Lodge. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and informative. He explained all the amenities and the continental breakfast available. Dovetail Bar & Grill was literally minutes away.
Our 2-queen bedroom had rustic decor, including a wall mount electric fireplace. It was roomy,...
"We loved our stay in The Chalet! The staff was amazing!!! Very helpful! The location is superb, just on the outskirts of Sister Bay. Breakfast every morning just a step outside The Chalet. Most comfortable beds ever!! The Chalet was super spacious, perfect for our family!"
"The property was clean. Check-in is 4pm and they will not budge on the time. I left my number in case my room was ready earlier, but they never called or messaged. A few locals I talked to during Fall Fest said the same thing about the customer service there, so it wasn't just me. I had planned to unpack and start enjoying the festivities instead of having to stop and go back, so that was disappointing.
The room looked like the photos on the site, but for a suite I expected more space — there's...
"The room was clean. The breakfast was on time every day. The staff was friendly and the parking was solid. My only complaints are the rooms are a little small. Our door had a gap at the bottom that was letting a draft in and when we turned on the heater had a very musty smell other than that overall great experience."
"My husband and I stayed for 4 days (Wednesday-Saturday). Loved the friendly staff and hours of the indoor pool and hot tub 8am-10pm. It was empty most of the time. They also had family friendly games, foosball table and reasonable snacks for purchase in the lobby. We will definitely be back. They don't have on-site laundry, but that wasn't a concern. Walking distance from mini golf across the street is a plus."
"We were delighted with our quiet room with a view of both the pool and the Bay. We were especially pleased that the heated pool and hot tub were still available for use mid-October. The property was full of beautiful flowers and fall decorations. It is an easy walk to Anatolia and Prince of Pierogi to get some really good food."
"This lodge is absolutely 💯 cut.. little old but very well kept. It’s not a huge place and cost is little higher but was and excellent stay.. Gail is the best, and we will be going back again."
