"The place is under a new management and has been remodeled. The whole place was extremely clean. We did have some problems with the keyless locking system and did not have internet for the night we stayed there. There is a restaurant that had just opened from 7:00 to 3:00 and a 24-hour convenience store that is well lit with little snacks and sodas and such in vending machines. The location is quite quiet and right off the Blue Ridgeparkway. Pretty close to an excellent restaurant Chateau...
"Very sad old hotel that is in great need of repairs and upgrades. There were 2 beds in the room, one was hard as a board and the other was way too soft. Wallpaper coming down, carpet badly stained, unrepaired damage in bathroom, etc. Desk clerk was very nice."

It had human fecal matter and blood on wall in bathroom, a used lubricated condom in the nightstand drawer, the refrigerator was a solid block of ice, only one receptacle worked in the room, the furniture was so badly stained you were afraid to sit on it.
