Whoever designed and built the cabins did not cut any corners and really went the extra mile. Our cabin was incredibly comfortable. The decor and materials were well done and the craftmanship was excellent. "Overall, the Lodge at West River is a decent, clean, secure, comfortable place to spend one night. The property-- which is actually a motel, not a lodge -- sits next to a surprisingly busy secondary road. For the price, I would have expected more ambience, softer sheets, and on-site dining. I will say the home-baked breakfast treats look amazing (alas, no carbs for me!) All that said, the staff and owners are welcoming, helpful and responsive. And that can be rare these days."
