"smells a bit weird in the room but has a great view and amazing location, nice staff, super fast wifi."

"We chose this property for it's location and it was perfect for being in the heart of the old city and close to what we wanted to do / see for our short stay in Funchal. We arrived on a late flight and reached the hotel about 1am (took the Aerobus for 5e it worked great). The man at the hotel reception was wonderful - kind and generous. The room was clean and basic. It's recently renovated / updated. Our only complaint is the area has several Poncha bars and it appears they are open all...

"The place was maintained with daily cleaning of the bathrooms and kitchen. A clean bathroom was my main priority and it was met. The place has no air-conditioning, fans or outside umbrellas on the beautiful grounds. The pictures show outside umbrella, but it was broken. Unfortunately September was sunny and hot most days and nights making it hard to sleep. The room I had with 2 sets of bunkbeds, closet, dresser to share were fine. "Lovely hotel next to Porto Muniz natural pools , breakfast was good."

"Lovely accommodations, delicious food, and super helpful staff. One thing to note, if you are through hiking - make sure to check with reception what time the latest check-in time is beforehand, as they don't have 24/hr reception."

"Todo bien .. solo el acceso es un poco complicado sobre todo para el turista que lleva maletas "

"Beeindruckende Lage, kein Familiengeplärre."

"A wonderful place to stay in Madeira if you have come for the walking. The villa itself is great with all the amenities you could want - but the best bit is the location. Its easy to get to some pretty good walks either by car or on foot. Parking is straightforward just outside the door - and there is a great supermarket next to the marina a short drive away. But beware - the roads are steep everywhere on the island, so make sure you can do hill-starts !"

"The premises were clean, in good condition and well equipped. The location was good for us, the main road was easily accessible. The road however causes noise which can be disturbing at times."
