Staff provided us with a portable cooling fan but that only brought the temperature down to 27° Other rooms next to ours had fully functioning units and much lower temperatures. I asked to borrow one of their units since the rooms were not occupied between check out and check in times (~4 hours during the day) but that seemd to be too...

"Genova Italy has so many grand buildings that have multiple use. The Olympic Hotel is in one of these buildings, with an old fashioned elevator, high ceilings, marble and ornate carvings. The Hotel is on the 4th floor and the management is very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and transportation. Good value in a beautiful Italian city."

"Staff is friendly and accommodating, even if they are not always present at the desk nor speak English. Air conditioning is an extra charge, but can open the windows to get some circulation. There's a nice deck with two chairs and a small table. No in-room safe. Shower is in the middle of the bathroom and only curtain, not a tub or stall, so entire bathroom can get wet if you're not careful. One block from the beach. Two blocks downhill from the train station."
