"This couldn’t have been a better place to stay! There was cold air conditioning always available, the staff cleaned our room daily which was a nice surprise. The facilities are new and very modern. It is right in the heart of the city, which made it so easy to go to restaurants at night. This was such an amazing place to stay and we hope to come back again one day."

"Passal hostel was a great stay. A very close convent walk to the city center and a 15min walk to the mall. Most of all Paulo was amazing, upon my arrival he helped me with everything I needed, while also assisting other guest. If I could give Paulo himself five stars I would. I will be staying there again."
"Room was comfortable but that’s the only positive. Arrived for self check-in within the stipulated time, and the room was not cleaned since the last guests. Customer service is difficult to reach and might be a bot (?). Said to leave immediately because the room was double booked. When I said no, they said that actually they’re just confused with another reservation and they will send a cleaner. Had to wait awhile. Overall very stressful and terrible lack of service - I can’t properly explain...

"We had a great stay at Azores Inn and Family Suites! We were travelling with our five-month-old and were really impressed with how easy and convenient everything was. The staff were very responsive, check-in/check-out was super simple with coded access, and they provided a crib and baby bath, which was a huge help.

"The manager Filipe Pedro was incredibily friendly and helpful! For every day we were there, he would send us a detailed guide of what to do in Sao Miguel that would cover the entire island. The room itself was clean and sufficient, and the breakfast was a great addition. It is a 5 min car ride away from the city centre, but very convenient to explore the entire island - overall definitely recommend!"
"Perfect villa for a family stay in the eastern part of Sao Miguel. Perfect outpost for: 1) pico do Vara hike; 2) waterfall trail; 3) praia do fogo; 4) activities in Furnas. The swimming pool in the town is not to count on - the water is cold as ice; the beach is as well non existent. There is a little grocery store opened 09-19 in the town, as well as a couple of cafés.
