"Property, service, cleanliness, staff, and location are all excellent. Quiet and removed from the main town. Great to retreat. All staff helpful and friendly. Only drawback is the quality of food from the restaurant. Given the site is remote, you expect a reasonable offering from the restaurant onsite, yet we found it to be not only limited in options as many items were unavailable, but also food quality and presentation was very poor. To make things worse, I became sick with food...
"The property is just as described... four cozy A-Frames (5th being built), owned and operated by a very lovely family.
Highlights: The gardens and home cooking are every bit as good as all the other reviews attest! We also enjoyed the jungle trek.
Challenges:
It's hard to criticize a place when the cost is so low. But worth noting a couple of points; A/ this place is very remote! Best if you have your own transportation (bike). Grab is about 200k to the Munduk waterfall trek each...
"I had an absolutely amazing experience! Gorgeous property with attention to detail, so nourishing to all my senses! The village of Java cottages are delightful, the pool breathtaking, excellent yoga class, abundant lush landscape, relaxing massage, and delicious artistic menu! I appreciated permission to pause life and drop in to Bali deeper: easy from ubud for a weekend away to relax on property, write, read, create, rest!! Highly recommend also for a retreat- they have a great set up!"
