"The location and on-street parking were good, and the staff were very helpful. The 'Deluxe' room was cramped and had only one chair, but was otherwise good. The rather expensive breakfast had limited choice of cereals and fruit, and no yogurt, which did not suit our preferences."

"I stayed here to go to the Alanis Morissette concert and was made to feel welcome from the moment I walked through the door. They were playing Alanis music in the bar which I thought was a nice touch so you could get in the mood. I ordered food in the bar which was delicious, the staff were all really lovely and made my first solo trip less daunting. The room was nice and clean and had everything you needed. Hotel was very close to the open air theatre so I couldn’t fault it. Will be returning...
"The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The thing that let it down was the food.
A lot of the courses were tasteless including the main breakfast. The only other thing we did not like was the shower, climbing in and out a bath.
Also could not open the windows in.the room when it got warm"

"Lovely owners who knew a lot of history about the hotel. Dated decor but nice bathroom. Next to funincular railway to take you down to south bay beach. Long walk to open air theatre. Number of parking spaces in front of hotel and hotel owner has cheaper payment method. Nice breakfast"

Received warm welcome from the person in charge who quickly checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was spacious and well decorated. After a while in the room though we did sense that the room was cold and damp which we raised with the staff who quickly brought us a couple of radiators and a fresh quilt cover. The extra heat did help but over our two night stay...
