"The location within a sanctuary is extraordinary BUT the 2 bar/ restaurants close about 6 and there’s only the hotel bar/restaurant. So if you want a bit of an evening out you must drive.
Also, you can park very early or late but literally thousands of people come during the day so returning to the hotel with a car is impossible.
We visited in August, so may be different other times of the year.
Hotel is beautiful and the sanctuary with the Basilica and grotto very atmospheric-
We wouldn’t stay...
"Die Lage ist fantastisch, wunderschön gelegen am Fluss mit vielen lauschigen Nischen zum Relaxen. Wir hatten ein sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer im Haupthaus mit Balkon, doch es gab leider nur einen großen Nachteil: Es stank die ganze Zeit nach Abwasser, da direkt neben dem Haus das Abwasser in den Fluß geleitet wird. Außerdem ist das Haupthaus sehr hellhörig und man hört jeden Schritt und jedes Geräusch vom Zimner darüber. Ansonsten eine tolle Anlage und sehr empfehlenswert."

"The hotel is in an amazing position “on the beach” with a good restaurant / bar and cafeteria both open lunchtime and evening.
Our room had a sea view (we chose the first upgrade option) and was very spacious and comfortable. No aircon but we left the window open all night with the sound of the sea helping us sleep!
The only downside is that the car park is in front of the hotel rather than behind so spoils the view a little at times but it’s free parking for hotel guests so that’s a bonus!...

"The hotel was very nice, very clean, very well maintained, everything work and everyone was very helpful and nice. It has a beautiful terrace to enjoy breakfast or coffee but unfortunately only the smokers could enjoy this, as a non smoker person traveling with minors I could not stand having my breakfast smeling second hand smoke, what a shame!!!"
"This is NOT a 4 star boutique hotel. It lacks the maintenance and minimum standards to be a 4 star hotel. The hotel is humid and smells like mold. Our room had a nice amount of spiders and flies in it. We were given a plastic Flyswatter to kill them. There’s no ACs in the rooms, which means even if the air cools down to 26C your room will be very humid. The bathroom and toiletries were very nice, the bed was comfortable. The hotel claims to have working space in the rooms, which is not the case....
