"Let me start by saying very clearly that I really dislike giving a bad review. I also don’t like moaning people who complain about the small things in their stay. This is a great hotel and building. They are lovely rooms. Clearly considered and classy renovation. Faultless in that respect. Restaurant was good but very limited choice. If staying more than 1 night I would have struggled to eat there each night. A little remote for other dining options. Our issue and subsequent rating is with the noise! We had a 1st floor room and there were people staying above us. You could hear every movement and every single noise. As it’s a conversion the creaking is constant. We didn’t sleep well at all. One of the worst nights sleep in a hotel I have had. Never again. After an 8 hour drive to get there and then another 5 hour drive the next day, it was a bit of a disaster! Such a pity considering the actual hotel and decor and renovation were fantastic. Maybe go and have dinner there but don’t book to stay!"

"Very welcoming host Marcos, made me feel at ease and offered help in any way needed. Room was a fair size and en-suite suitable. Breakfast was substantial. Will return when in the region."
