"A brand new hotel so everything was new and spotless. Really nicely decorated, quite funky! Great to have a kitchen area. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Amazing for a budget hotel. Only thing was food is based around’Pieminister’ as they brand everything and whilst we love those pies usually, they are obviously microwaved and overpriced. There is a pub right behind the hotel though. Overall , highly recommended and I have high standards! "

"Lovely hotel, and very secure as you seem to not make your way to the rooms through a private entrance to a courtyard. Food / drinks / atmosphere were really nice in the pub next door. Room very comfortable. "

"This is a pub with an incredible range of cask beers (10) mostly from the Lincoln Green Brewery. The 3 I try ed were excellent. The hotel (pub) has a faded grandeur feel and is basic. This suits me down to the ground. They do not do breakfast so we went to Tesco opposite which has a good cafe. The ensuite room was clean and tidy and met our needs well. It is up two flights of stairs though, no lift, and is a rabbit warren. Parking is on street. Overall I liked it but posh it is not."

"The family room was excellent, it had a separate area for the children to sleep so we were able to relax in the evening. The lady who greated us was so lovely, warm and helpful. "

"Well placed in centre of Bakewell. Friendly staff. Nice large double bedroom with en suite. As they don't serve breakfast there were a couple of complimentary porridge pots and breakfast biscuits. Tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of t-bags, milk, coffee and hot chocolate sachets with packets of biscuits. Hallway outside room decoration was looking a bit tired. Had a very nice evening meal in the pub"
