"We went to Canalview for a girls trip. Check in was easy, room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were very pleasant anf assisted with everything. Breakfast was great, it had everything we needed for the day and the setting was gorgeous. Front desk agent was helpful. Only issue was the heating, it was a very cold weekend and we needed more heat, thefe was a sucharge. There is also a surcharge for an extra blanket and pillows, and hair dryer"

"The rooms don't look like those in the pics online. They're small and cheaply furnished. We heard people above our room arguing loudly in the night. But the water gets hot, it's cheap, and very close to nice restaurants and bars."

"As ever with B&B, staff were great and breakfast excellent. This hotel's a bit tired though, and the shower in my room was blocked so flooded. The area around is a bit rough - but it's near a train station in a large town, so not unexpected, and not at all unsafe. It's just there are nicer areas. It worked for what I needed though, and you get what you pay for!"

"Despite reviews citing thin walls, we did not experience that. Yes, you can hear other guests, but only if they were talking loud or coughing, etc. The stairs are steep, and the steps are narrow. There's no elevator, but that's part of its charm. Nice room, with a good mattress, instant hot water, nice shower (the height adjustment was missing, but not an issue for me). One of the two large windows opened fully, allowing us to get chill night air while we slept. Not much of a view, but we didn't...

"A nice little hotel placed on the main road into Halluin. With this there’s a little road noise but nothing serious (it’s a small town). I do wonder, in warmer weather, if the window was open, it would certainly be louder. Polish up on your French. I got through with hand gestures and basic French, but the owners, certainly the man, only speaks French. Room is comfortable, not large, but doable. Shower/bath size was at the minimum size for me but, again satisfactory. Good parking out the back....

"I was unwilling to leave a negative review because the hotel owner was welcoming and pleasant, but unfortunately we left feeling ripped off. The area is quiet and safe, and the bed was clean and comfortable, but that is where the positives end. The bedroom feels miserable and shabby, with stark decor and old fashioned fittings, while the bathroom seriously needs updating and deep cleaning. There is no soap anywhere, no car park, the WiFi has no internet access, and the temperamental keycard...

"We spent two nights at the hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Brugge is such a beautiful city! The hotel is in the middle of Grote Markt but the room we got was facing the back so it was nice and quiet, even with the windows open all the time. They didn’t have AC so I can imagine it can get pretty warm in the summer but because it was raining/cloudy when we were there, leaving the windows worked. The room was spacious and clean. "The layout of the hotel is odd because it's shared with a restaurant annd access is through a dark and narrow alley. There is no one on duty 24/7 so don't expect a rescue in an emergency such as accidentally locking yourself out of your room or the hotel after hours. My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Good value for money considering the very central location."
