"My parents wanted to take a trip to Cherokee to celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary. This looked like a nice hotel, so my mom booked rooms. She has stage 4 liver cancer so I went along to help load and unload her wheelchair and in case they had any problems. When we arrived, the manager/owner would not allow my parents to stay in one of the rooms together and me in the other. I had accidentally left my wallet at home and didn't have my driver's license with me, so they said I wasn't...
"A nice property in a good position. It was clean and staff helpful. It has aged though and the carpet, small bathroom, decor and unusual smells upon entering the room felt dated. The gym was underwhelming with some of the equipment not working.
The breakfast bar needed a much broader selection of food and additional staff to support the one lady working there.
Maintenance work on the property seemed to a good standard in general and was noticeable, it just needs a facelift to shine."
"There is absolutely no handicapped parking on the property. Neither I or husband can walk 10 ft, yet there was no place to park close to our room and had to walk about 12 cars away from our room. Staff said they would tow away our vehicle if we parked in a dead end area of parking lot at 10pm at night and leaving at 6am in morning. Staff was rude and hateful, with no compassion for 2 elderly handicapped people."
"Checked in everything seem alright. Went to dinner came back no parking, we asked for a shower curtain which our room had nothing in our bathroom. Went to the front desk to ask for a shower curtain and it smelled like someone was having a Marijuana party at the front desk next to our room. Quite an awful stink floating into our room till after Midnight. Quite an unpleasant stay to say the least. We feel like a refund should be given."
"I was on the 3rd floor, room 314. Ice machine and vending machine in hallway behind elevator. Great, I take bucket, ice out it order and vending machine empty. I had a handicapped room although I'm not handicapped. I had a large shower, you could roll a wheel chair in to it. Floor would get all wet. I love soaking in a tub. Room smelled musty and the carpet always felt damp. I wore sandals walking from bed to bathroom."
"Upon entering the lobby the staff was very helpful and friendly. I had a problem with the lock opening my door. She personally came to my room and handled the situation. The room was very clean. The breakfast area was clean and plentiful. I stayed 2 nights and was quite happy."
"This was a pretty decent 3 star hotel. The room was comfortable, we chose the suite so we'd have somewhere to sit other then the bed. It was spacious. The bathroom was decent. The one thing I can say was a "negative", was that the toilet was crazy short. Like it was made for a toddler. Felt you were falling forever to sit down.
The bed was comfortable, so were the pillows.
The only real amenities you get while staying here is breakfast, which is nice. I was very pleased there were...
