"Set in a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. The village is about 2-3 miles away but don't take the car. The roads just get narrower and narrower and are extremely steep. The hotel has no lift but we were given a room on the ground floor as my husband has problems with stairs. The downside of this was that we were awoken by a table top sale being set up right outside our window by some very noisy Brits. I am surprised that the hotel allowed this immediately outside bedroom windows. Beware...

"Our single beds were small and the mattresses were a bit too hard and lumpy. The undersheets were noticeably rubberised. Our room had one big wardrobe with only hangers in it. There were no shelves or drawers anywhere in the room to put clothes. No shelves also in the bathroom"

It has everything a sensible and undemanding traveller requires - and Carmen was a charming and educated host. The pool looked enticing but the cool evening airs prohibited swimming. Suffice it to say sitting out under the trees with the glint of the moon offering light was ideal for a short self made supper. Close to a great local venta.... Food was always enticing and within budget. "

"Excellent choice for our stopover and great value for money. The owners were very welcoming and friendly when we had drinks in the bar. We were a bit worried it would be noisy from the road as we sleep with windows open but our room facing away from the road wasn't noisy at all. The breakfast was basic but tasty and we were also offered and had fried eggs. Great coffee. Hope to stop again when visiting this area."
