The only challenge was the stairs leading to the elevator but the hotel management was very upfront about this fact and the walk up was worth it for this great hotel, in our opinion. "

"If you want to be in the thick of Florence, this is where you need to stay. A quaint and actually quiet, old school, small 1-floor hotel basically on the steps of the Duomo. While others might think the hotel needs a bit of an upgrade, I feel like the vintage nature of it's surroundings adds to its charm. Everything was extremely clean and the front desk staff were always lovely and polite and acknowledged you when you walked by. I would recommend this place and stay here again myself."

"We did get off to a rough start with the employee at check-in--she was very short and impatient. However, when we returned, she was extremely friendly and was very accommodating. The helper there was very friendly and helpful--they had even already put our bags in our rooms. The building is quite older, so there is some wear and tear--but nothing too crazy. There is not a lift. Conveniently close to the train station and attractions."

"Small, comfortable hotel located easy walking distance to the train station (and by tram to the airport). Very friendly and accommodating staff. We showed up early, and even though our room wouldn't be ready for a few hours, they took our bags so they were in our room when we came back at the normal check-in.time. They also offered to hold our bags after check-out if we wanted to go back into the old city before our departure from the area. The hotel is actually on an upper floor of a building,...

"This hotel was a great hotel to stay in. Big room like it is in the states and breakfast was included. The only downside to this hotel is it is further than we realized to the attractions and minor noises from the water pipes. Overall we would stay here again without any hesitation. It was a wonderful stay!!!! The reception and employees were great and welcoming! "

"I might agree with others that this property is probably more hostel than hotel. BUT!! That being said, we had our own bathroom, the room was clean and our group each had their own bed, the showers were hot, they had a good breakfast and they will do your laundry for a fee. And sometimes travel is just what you make it, had we not stayed here we would have missed some good shopping streets walking into the city. Beautiful walks. "
