"We stayed here for three nights and it was fantastic. The hosts were so helpful. Even though their English was as good as our Italian they answered every question and WhatsApp and were there whenever we needed them including arriving really late. It couldn't be in a better location on the main street of Catania. The price is great value. It's not five star luxury. But it was five star service. It's really subtle to find on the street a small sign next to a big green door. I can't fault our stay...

He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the good, the bad and the rip off in the vicinity; straying from his wisdom is inadvisable. He and Christina have anecdotes aplenty, and Christina in full flow is a sight to behold - a sister cat - her eyes glow. "Casa Provenza Rooms is a hidden jewel as a small property with only 5 rooms. I finally picked in my search for the previous reviews and its location right in the center of Catania, where you can stroll and walk to reach anywhere of interests within 30 min. The owner Antonella took great care of my stay with heart and offered many local and regional tourism advice. It is quiet and secure, just like a back alley place with 2 min to the main piazza nearby. It is 5 min walk to the Piazza Paolo...

"This property was a great find for exploring Mount Etna. The room was basic but clean and soon soon felt like home after emptying your suitcase! Travelling with two teenage boys, we had a quadruple room and a view of Mount Etna from our balcony. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had dinner on the roof top terrace and the food was excellent! We stayed for three nights and also ate at another excellent pizzeria 5 minutes walk away. Parking is limited but we always found a space opposite...
