Driving from Holmavik to Isafjordur. Fjords are BEAUTIFUL!! These pictures simply can't do them justice. This was such a remote area, I saw under 10 other cars in my 4.5 hour drive. In fact, on that note, the drive is only suppose to take 3 hours, but the scenery was so beautiful I kept driving slower and slower to look at it all and "take it all in"... Not to mention stopping a lot to take pictures...

Heydalur is one of my favorite finds in Iceland. Located about an hour and a half from Ísafjörður, we stumbled upon Heydalur when we were looking for a more remote place to ride horses.

Heydalur has a guesthouse, camping facilities, a restaurant, horseback riding, kayaking, and many other activities. There are also a few outdoor hot pools, and a heated swimming pool in their lovely greenhouse. At ISK 1200 (about $10) per person, per night to camp, a stay at Heydalur is a total steal. I'd go back in a heartbeat! #TroverDetour
