Selina Hostels at Playa Venao The hostel is new and not finished yet, but it has a great design, is located directly at the beach and the staff is really cool. A con is that there is only one shop which has basically nothing and is really expensive; so you either have to bring your food or eat at the bar in the hostel. The beach itself is good for surfers, but you can also enjoy the waves without a board. There are only two (or maybe three; nobody knows) buses from Pedasí to Playa Venao: once in the morning (I think at 7) and once at 12 o'clock. It takes around 1.5 hours. Keep your eyes open and when you see the sign of the hostel, shout "(la) parada, por favor"

"house beach" of Pedasí you can do tours to Isla Iguana from there or just enjoy the beach (where you'll be almost alone). in Pedasí there are a lot of hostels, so you don't really have to book up front.
