I stayed here at the beginning and end of a 6 day trek in the Simien Mountains. The hot shower was so nice upon my return! Also, good WIFI compared to many other places I've stayed in Ethiopia

"It is a very beautiful and quiet place. The rooms are huge and very clean. Beautiful terrace. But the best of all, the staff, expecially the one of the restaurant. I went for Simien for three days and my mother, which doesn't speak English, stayed at the hotel. All the staff took care of her like ..."

"Great staff and property ! Electricity and net are poor in Ethiopia! Food comfort ard great as are staff and ravishing views from resort of the historic city ! I got invited to local festival by staff where I wax only foreigner but accepted and liked !"

Low key town in a beautiful hilltop setting. Easily walkable to main tourist attractions from town center, which have excellent guides (mandatory for castle complex). Limited but very good restaurant and cafe options.
