What a great place! The best beach on Maui, wonderful pools, and great game distractions for our one (1) rainy day (billiards, table-shuffleboard, ping-pong, etc.). The grounds were really well maintained and exceptionally beautiful. Hotel staff were really responsive to requests. On-site food options were varied and good, with other options just up the beach-walk at Whalers Village. Renting equipment (fins, boogie boards, beach umbrellas & chairs, etc.) was super easy, although the normal shop for that is closed and we had to ask for the new location (not an intuitive location now. There is a building permit posted so hopefully the beach-side shop will reopen soon).
"Kitchenette" is listed, but it's just a tiny fridge and a microwave inside cabinets. I don't normally shop or cook on vacation so this didn't bother me, but could be a bit misleading. There were dishes and silverware that were quite handy for cutting up & serving fruit on occasion.
The room we received (not sure if this is always the room or if it was randomly assigned by the resort) was low - on the 3rd floor - so the palm trees created a bit of a view encumbrance, but we had an ocean-facing view that was terrific!
I highly recommend this property to anyone interested in a wonderful Maui vacation!
