Our first night there, no one was there to check us in. Then the room was right above a stage where a singer and a full audience was having a good time sitting around fires and drinking and from the window we could see and hear all the kids running around on the play area. And the room was above the bar. So the room was noisy until very late and then there were ATV tours that started first thing in the morning.
This was in addition to the fact that to get to the “lodge” you had to drive on a dirt road for 5.5 miles. The property (and Expedia) advertised the property was only 28 miles from Ouray, Colorado. The property was actually 70 miles from Ouray. Due to the dirt road and extended driving, it took us over one and half hours of driving to get to Ouray.
We checked out 2 days early because of the location and the noise. The property would not refund the 2 nights and Expedia is giving us the run around about a refund.
I could not recommend this location at all.
