"We really enjoyed our short stay at the Carthouse. It's a lovely property in Axbridge, with Cheddar Gorge within easy reach. Communication with Val was excellent and also waited on the side of the road to show us the entrance to the side road. The Carthouse was spotlessly clean and Val had left several thoughtful items to get us started including bread, milk, wine and cider! Thank you Val, it was much appreciated. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this lovely property."

"Terrible property - due to stay here for 5 nights but posed such a health risk that we left immediately and checked in elsewhere at great expense. Sacks of rubbish left, outdoor dining area unusable, dangerous shower, bedroom fans covered in thick dust and mould. Is not as described - is a mid terraced property, not semi-detached as the pictures suggest. Neighbours garden full of trade waste and arguing with each other so would have been unpleasant to sit outside. Undesirable area. Do not stay...

"Set in a lovely holiday park. Everyone was friendly Lots of great walks for the dog. Beach not far. Extremely enjoyable would recommend "

"Fantastic stay at Little Owl Barn. Comfortable, spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Excellent communication with owners. Large, secure garden/outside space so perfect if you are travelling with furry friends. 10/10 from us humans and our dogs, and we will definitely be planning another stay. "

"We have absolutely loved spending a long weekend there. Our daughter is already asking when can we go back ☺️ . Very dog friendly and just a magical place. Also close to some beautiful beaches."

"Some changes are needed and this would be a lovely home. No coat hanger space atall in the bedrooms with only one drawer in each chest of drawers for our clothes. (The rest was filled with excess bedding and blankets). Nowhere for toiletries near the sink (tooth brushes ect) and no upstairs bin. No light bulb in the main bedroom main light, dog hairs inside the fridge, cobwebs about the sitting room and behind the sofas needs a hoover. The property itself is full of character and could be lovely...

Handy for town , 5 mins walk, hundreds of different restaurants Lovely to have decent tea and coffee facilities in our room, with delicious biscuits. A really pleasant little hotel, very handy for the Station – just opposite. Staff are extremely friendly "
