Completely restored English basement unit in Upscale Brick Townhouse built in 1850 offers modern craftsmanship and comfort while maintaining historic character and charm. Beautifully furnished and light-filled, this unit is right smack in the heart of Capitol Hill!

A locked, gated entrance leads to this separate apartment. Once you enter, you will walk into a very comfortable living room with hardwood floors and oriental rugs, a fire place, two couches, 50-inch flat-screen HD TV, and a table for dining. The fully equipped kitchen includes all the amenities – oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, pots, pans, plates, glasses; basically everything you will need!

There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the second with a twin bed. (The unit can also accommodate a fourth guest with a twin bed that is available when notifying the owner in advance). Fresh linens, pillows, blankets and comforters are provided. There is one full bathroom equipped with fresh towels, shampoos/conditioners, shower gels, soap and a hairdryer.

The unit is also fully air-conditioned, includes Wifi, Direct TV w/ HBO & Showtime, a washer/dryer and a free Visitors Parking pass for street parking. An added bonus is the use of the gorgeous landscaped backyard which includes patio furniture and BBQ.

Conveniently located 3 blocks from the US Capitol Building, and 3 blocks to Eastern Market. Easy walking to 15+ area restaurants, supermarkets, liquor stores and area shops and boutiques. 2 min walk to Bus Stops & 5 min walk to either Capitol South or Eastern Market Metro subway stops.

All round great spot
Well located, clean and welcoming spot. Beds super comfortable. Close to points of interest and stores for basic supplies as well as cafes and taverns. Christie was easy to connect to and super helpful. A great place to stay in DC.

Christie’s place in Capitol Hill is wonderful! Very clean and nicely decorated. Location can’t be beat and host was very responsive. Only thing I wish was more of a description of the rooms. One room was a converted porch, which worked for my 11yr old but definitely got a bit chilly at night. He didn’t mind since he had his own space. Overall I highly recommend this rental!

Excellent location, perfect for my family of 4. the kitchen is a bit tight and you have to go through one of the bedrooms to get to the bathroom but those were both more than made up for by the location and convenience. The place had everything we needed.

Lovely property in a beautiful neighborhood, just a couple blocks from the US Capitol. We parked the car when we arrived and never had to drive anywhere again. All of the sites we wanted to visit were within a reasonable walking distance. Christie was a wonderful host who checked in with us and made sure we had everything we needed. She was also very responsive to any questions we had. If you're wanting to visit all of the sites around the US Capitol area (Smithsonian museums, White House, US Capitol, all the monuments at the National Mall, etc.) this is a perfect place to stay. Thank you for everything Christie!

This apartment was easy to get to -- just a couple blocks from the Capitol Building - easy access to both bus and train metro system. Host was very responsive and easy to work with whenever we needed anything. Looking forward to coming and staying here again.

Great location!
We took a quick trip to DC with family who were visiting from South-Africa and this location was absolutely perfect! It is close enough to walk (or a short ride share) to everything you would want to see in Washington DC and only blocks away from a bunch of restaurants. Christie was awesome and let us check in early to drop off our luggage, since we didn't rent a car. All was as advertised. We will definitely stay there again.
