This apartment is located in the Centrale Mazzoni condominium, a well-known architectural work to recover the former thermal power plant built by the architect and engineer of the Minister of Communications of the fascist twenty years between 1933 and 1937.
This is a large 80 sqm apartment with a habitable terrace on the fourth floor with elevator.
It consists of a living area with sofa bed, sleeping area with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower.
In the apartment there is heating and air conditioning, sofa bed, LED TV, wifi, hairdryer, kitchen equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, citrus squeezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Centrale Mazzoni is located a 5-minute walk from Venezia Santa Lucia station, 7 minutes from Piazzale Roma and the nearest vaporetto stop is Ferrovia from which you can reach Rialto, San Marco and Lido with line 1.
To reach Marco Polo airport you can take the bus or taxi to Piazzale Roma.
In addition, in 5 minutes on foot you can reach the Guglie, Ghetto and Fondamenta Cannaregio area, where there are numerous excellent quality and untouristy bars and restaurants.
Check-ins are possible from 15 to 19. The later ones are possible by prior arrangement and with a small extra payment. Upon check-in, the payment of the tourist tax will be required, which is equivalent to 5€ per person per night, and a rental agreement will be filled out and signed, where the details of a credit card in the name of the guests will also be entered as a guarantee for damages.

Amazing stay!

The location was great. It was ideal for having close access to both the train station and the area where cars are able to drop off and pickup. The apartment itself was well equipped and very clean. It was a very comfortable stay. The key pickup and drop off was also a simple process. There is not much feedback in regards to improvement. Our group was comfortable and had a nice time staying here.

Loved the location and nice touches with the flowers. Internet was great! Floor was very dirty! If you walk barefoot or with white socks be prepared for a shock! The showerhead in one of the bathrooms was broken when we arrived and was not repaired despite a request to management to have it fixed. You should also have more towels available to guests.

Location

The property was clean and recently updated. The price was fair and communication with the owner was easy. The check in and check out was even easier. The best thing about this VRBO is location. It is a 5 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the bus station. And only 3 minutes from the grand canal. We walked from Piazzale Roma (bus station) and checked in and headed out to see Venice. We pasted so many people dragging their bags through Venice on their way to their logging. We walked, eat and shopped without our bags. It was great.

Wanted to give it five stars but no AC in the downstairs bedrooms :(

The place was great, central location, quiet, beds and showers good but there was no AC for the downstairs bedrooms. It was 77 degrees at night, 25c, maybe warmer in the bedrooms, not very comfortable for us. :( The property manager got back to me every time I asked about it, but said there was nothing they could do and no fans either. ( They did try to get us fans the second day but it was a national holiday so nothing was open.) In our opinion, we thought it was too expensive-and too list AC in the description- to not have AC downstairs. We had to crank up the AC upstairs and wear jackets just so the downstairs wouldn’t get even hotter. :( The patio looks over the train station, not inward Venice landmarks, and the mosquitoes were out so we really couldn’t use it at night. But if no mosquitoes it would have been good. The property manager was apologetic and always nice but nothing was changed. If the AC stays the same, we will look for another place when we go back, but if you’re ok with what they said the temperature Italians are comfortable with to sleep, you’ll enjoy it.
