Staying in an old windmill, which has been lovingly restored, is a once in a lifetime experience. The hosts go out of their way to make sure you are happy including leaving you treats on the patio. You can easily walk into Sanitiago do Escoural which is a quiet little town. "We had a wonderful 8-day stay at Casa do Avo Ezequiel, located on a beautiful farm surrounded by a variety of fruit trees. Although we arrived very late for check in on the first day, Senhor Francisco, our host, kindly waited for us and gave us the warmest welcome.Every morning, we enjoyed freshly picked fruits straight from the trees.
