"My father and I and my dog stayed at the cottage to visit my daughter who attends LR for a track meet. The beds were super comfy. My dog loved the yard to play frisbee and round around. "such a great stay! It was a short stay for my daughters dance competition. loved having space for our 3 young children and being able to cook our meals and even do our laundry. Definitely beat staying in a hotel and having to eat out for every meal, and going home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes. Very clean and the pull out couch was actually REALLY comfortable"

"The homeowner was very helpful at every step. The house is exactly what you think of when you think "lake house." The furniture was inviting and the house well decorated. The beds were also very comfortable. Kayaks, canoes, paddle board. It had it all!"

"My only regret is that our stay here was only for two nights. This house was perfect in all aspects. Everything was extremely clean and tidy at arrival. The three bedroom house is charming and the large walk-in shower with the rain showerhead was a huge sensation with my family. The host was very responsive and provided everything we needed to make our stay feel like home. In addition, the Town of Lenoir is very beautiful and hopefully we will have a chance to return."

"Had a relaxing time at the Lake Front Cottege. It was so nice to wake up to see the lake every day & go kayaking when you wanted. Quiet neighbors & safe. Enjoyed patio fire at night. Clean kitchen. It has a you need in the kitchen. Has pillows& bed linens. We brought our own towels. Had dish soap, etc. Nice stay. Host was respectful & helpful"

"The pictures do not showcase how lovely this home is. Kitchen was beautiful. Farmhouse sink that i would live to have in my home. Countertops were exceptionally beautiful. "The small town of Valdese is cute and has some great things to see and do but this little bungalow is amazing! All the furnishings and appointments were clean, attractive and uncluttered. Everything felt brand new! Great snacks and water provided as well as thoughtful toiletrie additions in the bathroom. An easy 5star rating for sure!!"

Location: Lake James is very large, deep lake, but with state park and camping facilities on a large portion, the houses are limited compared to other lakes and crowds are very light.
