"Kleine, nette, saubere Wohnung. Großer Balkon, der bei schönem Wetter zum Frühstücken einlädt. Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Check-In und -Out völlig komplikationslos! Tiefgaragenstellplatz war von Vorteil. Für eine Familie bei schlechtem Wetter eventuell etwas klein, aber die vorhandenen Spiele haben auch darüber hinweggeholfen. "

"Great location to discover the area of the Ludwig II Bavarian castles and the lake region close to Austria. The Chalet is super nice with all the comfort and amenities you are looking for. Would go back there anytime."

"We spent three great days in the house. Plenty of room for everyone. The house is very authentic and rustic. The simplicity is perfect to unplug from the everyday. The surroundings are amazing. "

"Pros: The location was perfect. Close to all the sightseeing, but away from the crowds. In walking distance to restaurants, bakery and butcher. The house stayed cool, although it was very hot outside. Parking in a garage was available, which was so wonderful as the car was not turning sizzling hot. Big bathroom, well equipped kitchen, we loved it. Cons: Everything was fine. The railroad is close to the property, but it did not bother us."

Hotel Müller Hohenschwangau

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at Müller. Very convenient location if you want to go to the castle. The horse ride is literally across the street. The rooms are great with that old world german charm. Its a perfect place that goes with the castle theme. The staff was wonderful and fantastic guides. We ate at the restaurant there and their snitzel was really good. Great deserts. We ate there our entire stay. Even bought an authentic cuckoo clock there. We will definitely stay there again when we come back to the area. They also have free parking for guest which is a plus. "

AMERON Neuschwanstein Alpsee Resort & Spa

"Incredible location, surrounded by mountains and next to a lake. Great walking in the area, with fantastic scenery. Walking distance from both the Hohenschwangau and (a bit further) Neuschwanstein castles. About 40 mins walk each to the towns of Schwangau and Fussen; there's various good museums in the latter. Tegelberg mountain has spectacular views also and can be reached by cable car from near Schwangau. Breakfast is excellent, with full cooked options (not just 'continental'). Our room was a good size and well appointed, with a balcony view. The hotel was in excellent condition throughout. As with all Bavaria - you need to get to dinner by 7pm, wherever you dine. Kitchens close promptly at 8, which seemed to catch others out too (the bar's kitchen closed later, at 9:30). There's little to do in the evenings near the hotel, but after the day's activities you'll probably be ready for sleep anyway. Overall, a lovely, modern hotel with enough locally to spend 10 packed, enjoyable days. Note hotel parking is paid for, at 14 Euros a night."
