"Rose Cottage had a small fridge but it was generously stocked for breakfast items for the 6 nights of our stay. Location is good. There was pet hair and pet odour on the sofa which we cleaned. The pillow protectors and pillows were stained and not very comfortable. Spa was good. Television was very small and not all channels could be received due to its age. An extra towel rail in the bathroom would have been handy given extra towels used for the spa and for swimming nearby. Rose Cottage...

"Wombats. That's the review. I'm not sure how to make this easier for everyone but there are wonderful wombats around the property. They come right up to the accommodation. They LOVE eating the chestnuts that fall off the surrounding trees in autumn/winter. Best times are early evening after dark until about 9pm and then sporadically until about 4am. "House was very cold. Need woolen blankets on the bed. Cotton waffle blanket is not warm enough. Window in the main bathroom needs to be fully frosted glass, instead of just half. The top half of the bathroom window is not frosted. One can be seen from the road that runs along the house. Had to squat in the shower, not to be seen. Everything else OK."

"Very Serene location with lake and bush style cottage living feel. Very friendly host who bakes the best bread. Cottage is large, allowing kids to have their own time. Large SPA-bedroom-bathroom-Kitchen-Sunroom was all on point. Definitely recommend for a relaxing family getaway in nature."

"Lyrebird cottages was set in a lovely tranquil location, Silver Wattle cottage was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provisions (eggs, bacon, bread, cereal, butter, jam, milk, juice) were great and the owners provided excellent information prior to/during our stay. We were fortunate enough to see the Autumn leaves, pick chestnuts from the property and see a few lyrebirds as well. I would definitely recommend Lyrebird cottages for a weekend away!"
