"My family vacationed here in the summer. We love this house and the overall location. Lots to do with all the VIC trails nearby, canoeing/kayaking, rail trail cycling. Bob and Sheila are great hosts and the house is well equipped. Particularly nice is the outdoor area where you can enjoy an evening fire and view the stars. We all came back happy and restored thanks to this warm home and the natural beauty of the area."

"Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. "Come to find out, that the Owners had closed their Vrbo account a few years prior. I showed up with the confirmation on Vrbo. The Owners were VERY GRACIOUS and accommodating. They immediately came down and cleaned and refreshed a camp that was not finished for me to stay in. They gave me a few handmade souvenirs and had me come over to their Farm for a Farm-Fresh homemade Breakfast. Such a great family and people to have. "It was great to get some warm up runs in cross country skiing right out the front door, grab the included ski passes to Scotts Cobble right across the street for some nice laps on groomed trails. Definitely recommend this quiet getaway just a few minutes from downtown Placid."

"This is a tiny bare bones cabin. Hardly room for a couple. No stove or place to cook. There was microwave and sink. The bed was large but mattress sagged in middle. The drawers were hard to open and close. No one on premises to greet you; access entirely on internet, but internet and phone connection spotty.
