There is enough space for digging and building sandcastles, looking for shells and for beautiful walks on the beach. Butterfly farm 3 km, Usedom Baederbahn stop just a few minutes' walk away. The best way to explore the area around Trassenheide is on the well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails. The longest hiking trail on Usedom runs directly through Trassenheide. Numerous sights can be visited on the way from Peenemünde to the town of Usedom.
