Cozy mountain getaway

The Nantahala Lake Hideout is the perfect spot for a Mountain Getaway! It has all the elements to get off the grid for a bit while still providing all the creature comforts you could want in a vacation home. The home is stylish and comfortable. Nantahala Lake itself is gorgeous and surrounded by mountain views. The home is just a short walk from the boat launch making lake access easy and convenient. I would highly recommend planning a getaway to this home!

Cozy and quiet, but not welcoming

Definitely working out some kinks. For now, the location and quiet is the best part. Bring your own entertainment and info about the area. No cell service, no wi-fi, and no useful guest info at all.

Beautiful but warning: no wifi or cell service

Great property for a really off the grid vacation. A little too off the grid for me but I booked in a hurry and the owner did say no wifi. There's also no cell service, so you have to drive to a nearby cafe to communicate.

Please get curtains or blinds

The location was great but I felt REALLY uncomfortable not having blinds or curtains on the bedroom windows. Not having wifi or much cell service made the messages from the host pretty useless. It would have been nice if there had been a sign about checkout for folks anxious there maybe were misremembering the checkout instructions

Comfortable Mountain Home.

If you like to be away from everything and be in solace while enjoying a fishing trip than this is a nice stay. Be prepared for no wifi and poor cell service. Me and my son stayed in this home for the purpose of fishing on the lake and knew it was in the mountains. Driving wise, make sure you have AWD/4WD. Some locations will be hard in a sedan or sports car. The lake is beautiful and the scenery is amazing. If you are coming here for fishing, be prepared for some stingy, bougie, not wanting to work for food fish.

No water and no cellphone reception and no Internet

I could not cook or use the bathroom or wash the dishes or drink water. I did not have Internet available or cell reception to contact anyone about the problem.
