"The cottage is very welcoming and is equipped with everything that you may need. It is very central to the lovely village with shops and pub almost within touching distance. The off-road parking is a boon although there was always space on the road if more than one car was used. All-in-all an excellent stay and no doubt we will return as there is so much to see in the area and the cottage makes a wonderful base."

"The quality of the property, particularly the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, is a bit shabby - feels more like a 'Home of Multiple Occupancy' than a holiday cottage. The big living space is great, though, ideal for the ten adults and 2 children in our group. "Lovely stay at The Den. Wonderfully engaging host, so proud of his creations and rightly so! We stayed for 3 nights exploring the area. Visited Bakewell, Matlock & Buxton easily from here. We even had time to cycle some of the Tissington trail to the village & estate. We also ate at The Callow Hall, a 15 min drive away. No doubt we’ll be back at The Den. Thank you Karl! 😁"
