"Larger rooms and property than expected with a huge kitchen , central heating and every thing you would need to self cater. Quiet location with gated parking. Greatest views of Ireby and Uldale fells, and 100mtrs walk to the breattaking views of the Solway. Do not have any hesitation of this great propery but be aware you are close to all tourist locations but is a great getaway for walks, etc. One slifht issue, not reLly worth mentioning is that the grass needed cutting and the cumbrian...

"Both families really enjoyed the stay at the barn owl. It was a great place to relax and chill out as a group. The barn was clean and had everything we required for the stay, Kelly was very accommodating and provided some local knowledge and guidance for the stay. We would stay again thanks"

"Great place to stay for exploring the area or relaxing and unwinding in the beautiful garden area. Very well appointed. It was one of the best places we stayed this trip. "

"I wouid recommend this property but would make sure other guests jnow there is nothing within walking distance and a car is needed to get ro the nearest pub/supermarket. The property was lovely but the blinds needed dusting, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and the laminate on the tables was taped up."

"Good size for two people, the kitchen was well equipped and it was lovely and warm. Perfect if you're in the lake district for a few walks with easy access to Blencathra, short trip from the main motorway and easy enough drive into Kendal. If you are sensitive to road noise and plan on a few lay-ins maybe take some earplugs."

"Lovely quite country location, off-street parking & all the comforts of home. Near train station if public transport is required, however noise from trains was not an issue. 'The stables is ideal for a couple with small kitchen if wanting to cook."
