Sears Roebuck House Thomas WV
Great location. Property was clean with nice amenities. I always like a good shower and nice bathroom towels. This had both along with a lot of other really nice features. It's just a short walk to art galleries, shops, and restaurants (yes, there are a few in Thomas). And if you like music the amazing Purple Fiddle is also a short walk away. Highly recommended!

An Historic Beauty
Beautiful historic home in an even more historic area. Located in the heart of Thomas, WV, this vacation rental is near to several State parks and ski areas. If you’re looking for a base to start your daily excursions to local shops and attractions this is it. The house renovation is great and the color scheme is excellent. Would loved to have been able to read a brief history of the house, a 1916 Sears and Roebuck catalog house has to have a great history behind it. Now for a few items that would have made our stay better. Maybe some board games or cards for rainy or bad weather days. We had some younger children with us and the books on hand were not appropriate for them. Some housekeeping items- a few cobwebs in the bedrooms, the back deck by the mud room was covered in algae and was slick and slimy. Some of the nailheads were sticking up on the staircase, there is also one sticking up from the threshold to the bedroom facing the road. The door for the bathroom facing the road sticks. Not all the trash cans had been emptied and would have loved to have extra trash bags available instead of buying some. All in all we had a great time in a quaint place. Thank you.
