We recommend walking with a flash light at night and bringing plenty of drinking water. If you plan to use the fire pit or grill please purchase your own fire wood and charcoal locally, we do not supply it.
This house runs on rainwater - you must practice water conservation as our guest! We ask that showers at limited to 10 minute max, if you are able to keep them shorter that is bonus conservations points.

Please bring along plenty of drinking water or plan to boil our tap water which is unfiltered rain water.

Not clean, but beautiful location

I will start out by saying I communicated with the owner about the condition of the property, they seemed unaware of it and remorseful. So hopefully by the time someone else books it will be taken care of and properly cleaned. We also got a full refund because the condition was completely unacceptable.Surfaces were dirty, we wiped them down with paper towels and cleaner, the towel was brown after wiping the counter tops. The fridge drawers were grimey. I wanted to unload the food we brought into the pantry, all the cabinets were dusty and dirty, those paper towels wiped out a much darker brown. There was mouse poop and poison behind the washing machine. The final straw was my husband opened the oven and pulled out a baking pan and there was mouse poop in the oven and pan itself. Somebody left pet supplies (personal color and bows) upstairs. Makes me wonder if anyone cleaned at all other than making the bed after the last guest checked out. The owner said they hired out for cleaning services and would look into the matter. The house would have been sufficient otherwise, and the location was beautiful and would have been way more convenient to the park than where we ended up staying in alpine.
